Exhaust and Wheels

Wheels, catalytic converters, collectors, turbo-chargers, brackets, sensors, headers, splitters, crossovers, mufflers and resonators all have unique requirements, not the least of which is weld spatter. In applications where spatter cannot be tolerated, Miller's SureStart™ arc starting technology reduces the spatter and the associated cost of clean-up. For faster cycle times, avoiding burn-through (less rework) and filling gaps (better quality), the Accu-Pulse process (cooler than conventional pulse) has proven extremely successful in both automated and semi-automatic exhaust applications. Accu-Pulse allows running a shorter arc length, so it feels more like conventional short circuit transfer and makes it very easy for operators to control the weld puddle. The shorter arc length also narrows bead width, allowing faster travel speeds. For parts that would benefit from several different welding processes, the multi-MIG Axcess power source (Auto Axcess or semi-automatic Axcess) permits changing processes on the fly. These benefits can be obtained quickly because the Auto-Cal function allows swapping out older power sources in a matter of hours.
