APPLETON, Wis. August 23, 2006—Visitors to the Miller Electric booth (#23713 in Racing & Performance section) at this year’s SEMA show will have the opportunity to see the latest welding and plasma cutting equipment and participate in hands-on MIG and TIG welding and plasma cutting demonstrations. SEMA will take place in Las Vegas, Nev., Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2006.
New products on display will include the Syncrowave® 200 AC/DC TIG/Stick welder, Spectrum® 375 X-TREME plasma cutter and The Joker and Camouflage design additions to Miller’s line of auto-darkening welding helmets. Weldcraft, an industry leader in TIG torches and accessories, will share Miller’s booth to showcase its MT-125 water-cooled micro TIG torch and the SF 225 Modular Flex Head Torch Package. Both torches offer optimized performance and the ability to TIG weld in hard-to-reach areas.
- The new Syncrowave® 200 AC/DC TIG/Stick welder features an extended power range for welding thicker materials, along with several functions to make it even easier for hobbyists or those in light industrial settings to attain professional-quality welds. The Syncrowave 200 helps operators enhance weld appearance with an easy-to-use, built-in pulse control that also helps eliminate burn-through and distortion. - Weighing only 18 lbs., the new Spectrum 375 X-TREME plasma cutter provides the cutting capacity of machines twice its size, is light enough to be carried by the included shoulder strap and versatile enough to connect to any 115V-230V single-phase power supply. Rated at 3/8-in. cutting capacity on mild steel and ¼ in. on aluminum (115 V, 20 A or 230 V service), the Spectrum 375 X-TREME can provide a smooth and steady cut thru ½-in. mild steel at 6 inches per minute.
- Two new designs, The Joker and Camouflage have been added to Miller’s line of auto-darkening welding helmets. The Joker portrays a sinister-looking jester amid poker chips, cards, die and an eight ball. The Camouflage helmet features the Hardwoods Brown, High-Definition camouflage pattern. - Weldcraft’s SF-225 Modular Flex Head Torch Package allows welding operators to customize a single torch into multiple configurations for TIG welding in various applications and welding angles. Designed primarily for shop use on water-cooled operations, the SF-225 allows the power cable, water and gas hoses and handle to be configured into seven different torch styles.
- The MT 125 from Weldcraft is the industry’s most compact water-cooled micro TIG welding torch. Ideal for work on limited access joints, the MT 125 provides comfortable ergonomics and features a low profile nozzle that allows the torch to maneuver into holes as small as 5/8-inch in diameter.
- Weldcraft will be demonstrating the versatility of its AK-150MF Modular Flex Head TIG Torch Kit. The kit allows welding operators to customize their standard 17F or 17FV series TIG torch into 20 different styles according to application.
