Tractor seat barstools made for my wife's birthday.

    Build Process

These are pretty easy to build. Find an old 20" disc for the base and an old cast iron tractor seat. These seats are reproduction seats but any type will do. Cut 1 1/2" 11 gauge square tubing to length, these are 24". Cut 1/4" plate for mounting bracket. I used 1/2" hot roll for the foot rest. Weld the disc, mounting plate, foot rest and tubing together and bolt on the seat. For the feet, to keep for scratching the floor, I used 1"x1/8" flat bar. Cut four pieces of flat bar and bend a 90 on one end. Weld these to the bottom of the disc and add the stick on floor savers.

    Tools Used

Northern Tools parts bender, Dewalt chop saw, Dewalt 4 1/2" grinder, Victor cutting rig and Millermatic 211
