  • Project Description

I built a grill guard for my Case Jx 95 tractor. This will protect my investment from front damage. I also built in a tool box holder.

    Build Process

I cut the plate to length then marked and drilled holes. I then installed the cross bar for added support. I cut the square tubing to 24" length then 45 degree angle both ends beveled and squared the tubes tacked in place. I welded the bars and tubes in place. I then placed wire mesh in the square tube as added protection for the grill.

    Tools Used

6' foot long by 4 in wide plate. 4 in by 4 in square tube. 3 foot square wire mesh. I done my welding with a Miller Thunderbolt ac-dc machine. I used a Harris cutting rig. My welding I used 6010 P5 plus rods , and 7018 rods for a cap weld.
