Fast and Dirty Welding

Oftentimes, field repairs are made as temporary fixes until you can get back to the shop for a proper repair.

Repairing a cracked hitch or broken drive sprocket out in the field in the middle of planting is a whole different world from being able to make the same repair at your convenience in the shop.

Both time and the elements are factors working against you, and you don't always have the ability to haul the equipment back to the shop for a proper fix.

These are the types of situations that call for some fast and dirty field welding. Farm Journal Editor Dan Anderson interviewed Miller Product Manager John Leisner for some tips on how to overcome a ticking clock and less-than-ideal circumstances to get you back to work as soon as possible.
