Miller Introduces new Trailblazer® 325 EFI with Excel™ Power and Battery Charge/Jump-Start Option

The Miller® Trailblazer® 325 EFI with Excel™ power and the new battery charge/jump-start option brings extended runtimes, lower fuel consumption, sound reduction and a smaller footprint to a robust welder/generator for field mechanics and heavy equipment repair professionals.

APPLETON, Wis. (May 1, 2013) — Miller Electric Mfg. Co. has announced a new battery charge/jump-start option for its Trailblazer 325 EFI with Excel™ power engine-driven welder/generator. This new option adds 75 amps (12/24 volts) of battery charging capability and 350 amps (12/24 volts) of battery jump-starting power to a welder/generator designed to extend runtimes by 50 percent, reduce fuel use by as much as 35 percent, reduce noise by 68 percent, and provide a smaller and lighter footprint for ease of integration on work trucks. The Trailblazer 325 EFI with Excel power and battery charge/jump-start is ideal for field mechanics and heavy equipment repair professionals, and offers 325 amps of welding power at 100 percent duty cycle and 12,000 watts peak/10,500 watts continuous generator power for running jobsite tools.

This multiprocess (Stick, DC TIG, MIG and Flux-Cored) welder/generator also features two industry-exclusive advances: Smart-Cor™ technology and Auto-Speed™ technology. Smart-Cor technology provides independent weld and generator power, ensuring no interaction between the welding arc and jobsite tools such as grinders and chop saws. Auto-Speed technology automatically adjusts the engine speed to run at lower speeds determined by the welding load applied to the machine.

Two additional technologies — Excel power and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) — significantly improve fuel efficiency and extend runtimes. Excel power is a new and exclusive generator technology that allows users to run most jobsite tools at idle speed (2,400 rpm) compared to traditional welder/generators that immediately ramp up to 3,600 rpm when a load is applied. EFI optimizes the air/fuel ratio for reduced fuel consumption, longer runtimes, fewer emissions and superior performance compared to carbureted models. It provides more reliable starting performance in cold climates, requires no choke, and is less prone to fuel deterioration or varnishing.
