As reported in previous issues of Miller DIY e-newsletter, Miller proudly signed on to support the 2012 Street Rodder Road Tour Build. Burbank-based Hollywood Hot Rods was selected to build the 2012 AMSOIL/Street Rodder Road Tour vehicle.

Using Miller welding and cutting equipment exclusively, shop owner Troy Ladd and his team of fabricators completed the '40 Ford coupe that utilizes a Bob Drake body on a Fatman chassis.

“Everything involves welding or cutting in one way or another,” said Ladd. “From the framework to the sheet metal work, Miller welders play a huge role in what we do because we couldn’t even exist without welding and cutting equipment. These products are key to everything we do here at Hollywood Hot Rods.”

Miller products used at his shop include:

The car was unveiled June 2 at Hollywood Hot Rods during a special event held for the shop, sponsors and partners, and Street Rodder staff. Miller Marketing Manager John Swartz and MIG Product Manager Ben Romensko attended the event on behalf of the organization.

Following the unveiling, the car will show like a high-end show car but will also race at Autocross and Road Course, which is a bit unusual for a fat-fender car.

The 2012 AMSOIL Street Rodder Road Tour will also hit the road again this summer with scenic drives and family fun at eight tour stops with a special three back-to-back section known as Steele Rubber Product’s “Triple Crown Challenge”.
